Innoncence Lost 07.15.11

My innocence was lost last night...(@ my neighborhood being safe) as Carol and I were walking down the path to our apt after bible study my hands full with my bible and notes we passed a teenager I said hello Carol said hello then he tore her purse off her arm and took off, She said to me "he just stole my purse", I dropped everything and took off running I slipped on the street in my boots and took a hard fall bruising my ribs and hip, I rolled up back onto my feet and resumed the chase, and when I came around the corner behind the apt.s across the street he was standing there looking in her purse and when he saw me coming at full speed and almost on him explaining to him what was going to happen next he was shocked dropped the purse and took off. I came walking up to Carol and she said whats that under your arm? It was her purse and in it was her cash, cards and the cash I had just given her from my weeks pay for bills, this time this criminal got nothing but a good scare, cops now have the purse checking for DNA, my bruised ribs are healing up....I got all my stuff back.........
